Refund Policy
1. Protections that make refunds rarely necessary
- Your subscription clock starts when your bot comes online, not at checkout — capped at 14 days. Time spent in the setup wizard is never billed time, so a slow setup does not consume what you paid for.
- Prepaid, never postpaid. Metered capacity — OCR extractions and object storage — is sold as prepaid packs. When a pack runs out, extraction degrades to manual entry, which is always free and unlimited. There is no usage bill, so there is no surprise invoice to dispute.
- A failed payment buys nothing. Entitlements activate only when payment succeeds — there is no dangling “paid” state to unwind.
Wizard abandonment refund
If you pay, abandon the bot setup wizard within 7 days, and no bot ever comes online, you are owed a full refund with a GST credit note — because that failure is ours. Contact support to claim it. Qualifying cases are already queued for review, so we are not relying only on you noticing. The GST credit note is issued with the refund.
2. Cancelling mid-cycle
Cancel any time from the dashboard. Your paid access — including duration passes — runs to the end of the period you paid for, and no further charge is taken. By default there is no partial cash refund for unused days; short passes in particular are priced as fixed periods.
3. Everything else — support-reviewed
- Outside the wizard-abandonment entitlement above, refunds are deliberately rare and are approved by support case-by-case — for example where a platform failure on our side materially broke a paid period.
- Every approved refund is issued with a GST credit note and the matching entitlement is revoked — never a silent reversal, never a refund that leaves the paid feature switched on.
- Approved refunds return to the original payment instrument through Razorpay. Processing time: timing not yet published — ask via the contact page.
- A chargeback opens a support dispute on notice. Paid entitlements stay until support reviews and may freeze or revoke them; restoration also goes through support.
4. Participant fees and prize money
Not applicable, by design. Tournabot never collects entry fees, never takes a cut and never holds or pays out prize money — on any plan. Money between an organiser and its players moves entirely outside Tournabot, so any refund of it is between them, under the organiser’s own rules.
